Hood not staying open on its own? That means the gas struts that hold it open are worn out and need to be replaced. These gas struts (AKA “gas spring assemblies”) are OEM items.

These OEM items are sold as a pair. One order includes two struts.

Note: The current part number is 4G43-SE16C826-AB. It has superseded 4G43-16C826-AB, and it no longer has a shiny finish on the strut body. Please see the product picture for a comparison.
