Hood not staying open on its own? That means the gas struts that hold it open are worn out and need to be replaced. These gas struts (AKA “gas spring assemblies”) are OEM items. You can replace them yourself using the Redpants DIY guide for help with installation!

These OEM items are sold as a pair. One order includes two struts.

NOTE: The original product has been superseded. Part number 6G33-16C826-AB is no longer offered by Aston Martin and has been replaced by 6G33-SE16C826-AB. The finish on the shock body has been changed from chrome to grey.

Ordering and Shipping

This product is kept in stock at Redpants in Japan.

  • Shipments sent from Japan through either Japan Post or Yamato will be delivered by the local postal service or UPS, respectively.
  • Products listed as “Available on backorder” will ship once inventory has been received by Redpants. Please contact us prior to ordering a backordered item for an estimated delivery time. Orders that include backordered items will not ship until all items within the order are available.
