Hawk HPS 5.0 Brake Pads (1990)
¥ 43,650Hawk’s HPS 5.0 pad is an updated compound based on their popular HPS pads. They produce less dust and noise than Aston Martin’s OEM Pagid pads but can still handle track duty in cars with the larger 380mm brake rotors. These are a great brake pad for people that drive aggressively, and for people that do track days and don’t want to bother with dedicated track pads.
They do have more brake dust than the Porterfield R4-S but I think it’s a reasonable amount, and the Hawk HPS 5.0 pads can handle abuse beyond the capabilities of the Porterfield R4-S. With proper installation and bedding-in, the HPS 5.0 does not squeal.
